Hobbies: Being normal, trying to get everything around him to be normal, and trying to get the world to make some kind of fucking sense. This is quite the impossible task and takes up most of his time. Likes: Dislikes: Boredom. Annoyances. Shit that makes no fucking sense. Has No Feelings Towards: You. And most other things. About Rude: Rude believes that he is a normal, ordinary, perfectly sane person in a world that has gone completely batshit. He isn't altogether wrong. Rude isn't especially strong, smart, fast, fun, or even interesting. He doesn't have a death wish, he doesn't have a special aptitude for anything, he's definitely nothing but human and even for a human, he's not especially greedy, emotional, violent, or especially much of anything, really. But that's what comes with the title of "everyone's rock of practicality." Rude is the grounding force on Reno and many others of those who know him--although his down-to-earth, logical manner can seem overly cautious at times. Those that don't know him assume that he's a boring; those that do know him know that he's boring. And yet, in a way, he's not. Rude doesn't really talk much, especially around strangers, and even around friends, he's rather quiet--but his few chosen words are always laced with his dry, cynical humor. Most people, however, don't really notice him. He likes it that way. On top of all that, Rude's history is an almost embarrassingly happy one. He's got two (one male, one female) parents, two grandparents (one male, one female), and a 16-year-old kid sister who all live in a nice house in Wutai with a dog named Fluffy and a cat named Mittens. His family life is pleasant and peaceful and all of his relatives are loving, caring people who celebrate every major holiday together. None of them, of course, know that Rude is a professional hitman-for-hire (they believe he's a suit in ShinRa), and none of Rude's friends, of course, know that his family exists. At all. And he likes it that way, too. Still, it isn't as if Rude doesn't know how to cut back and relax for a while--especially around Reno. And even though he usually acts as a restraining force, Rude secretly loves the thrill of risking his life and causing mayhem, and is actually pleased when Reno "drags" him along. [Perhaps it's more Reno than the mayhem--will we ever know?] Either way, the whole thing is a secret, even from his friends--and no one would ever be able to guess from his expression how much fun he's actually having. | |||||
